Final Riposte

Well its been busy the last few weeks being back at work, and a bunch of stuff has happened but nothing really mentionable… just “stuff”
Need to get back to the songs I wrote and finish them off.
I have also got to get around to modding the Ibanez rg7321 that I bought. The mods are reasonably safe:
Schaller mini locking tuners
Earvana compensated nut
Dimarzio Liquifire and Crunch Lab pick ups.

In other news, I really need to update my CD list as there are a few added, including:

Well, many updates here. The two main ones being:
EWQL Play 2.0.24 beta… where wordbuilder is integrated. All details on the sounds online forum website

Tonehammer requiem has changed to requiem pro, as there is now a lite version. Can’t get the best out of it until Kontakt 4 update gets here though.

The AxeFX is doing its job, stable versions for a while but I would love for the MFC101 to hurry its way here.

I am also hoping like hell that wavelab 7 is out soon, as there will finally be a mac version which will be rather timely.

I have new pickups for the Ibanez rg7321, waiting on a new bridge, earana nut and schaller mini locking tuners.

I am only just touching the surface of this library still, and it is amazing.
Nearly killed my download allowance for the month but very worth it.

Apparently the Tonehammer guys are working on 1.1

I hope it is less than 12 gigs!

I will also have to see how well it fits in with EWQL Symphonic Choirs….

Much better plans for these new phones, but I am still should I or shouldn’t I….

Well, things are going a bit slow still. About to go get a coffee and change up a gear. Just saw some fascinating interviews with James Horner, here, which shows how awful it would be to be in that industry at times. It also reminded me of many of the soundtracks I would love, but are either completely unavailable or cost over $200USD. Bugger.

Okay so I am trying to get things up to date here this weekend. I have a few downloads to go though, mainly the AxeFX editor, the EWQL play updates. I need to find a patch list for the K2661 for OSX.
That will be no fun.
I also want to get the cabling tidied up, clear out all loose nuts and bolts (literally! pesky little blighters get everywhere).
The Adam’s are setup, ready to go, and have been burning in. Auralex pad’s are on the walls (they are only 1″ wedgies but eh, its better than nothing. I’d like to get some LENRD bass traps but time will tell.
The MR816 already gives me more confidence than the Studiokonnekt 48 did. Expect to see that on ebay soon.

Photos are coming, the hardest part is my camera is crap.

There should, then, hopefully be a number of updates either here or via twitter this weekend.

As per subject – I have removed the studio pics for now… they will be readded as soon as I take pics after the reorganisation.

Well I have found the monitor/speaker stands I want, and have them setup.
Getting used to a reflexion filter, hopefully that will help with some of the room issues.

The biggest challenge now is getting the damned cables out from underfoot.

And sorting out my workflow with the Euphonix kit.

Since there is a hard rubbish collection this week I am also devoting some time to a general tidy up of the room..

Second A7X still has not turned up. Disappointing if I have to wait until next week for it.

They should be here in time for my holidays. Excellent!

Well my warmoth superstrat comes back from a setup today – and the tech will also do the strat while I am there. No more guitar loneliness, yay!
